Business caucus raises spaza shop registration concerns

The National Black Business Caucus says many South Africans are not registering their spaza shops because of red tape, including complicated municipal processes. The Caucus was responding to reports that both foreign nationals and South Africans are not adhering to licensing and health compliance regulations. Meanwhile, many foreign nationals argue that they did not take businesses and jobs from South African citizens. This comes against the backdrop of the looting of foreign-owned spaza shops and questions over whether they should be operating in the space. SABC News' Nomvuyo Ntanjana reports.
