The trim tab primarily reduces the force the pilot must apply to the stick to maintain a pitch attitude when flying manually. Its action is achieved by the movement of two wheels located between the trim tabs and is controlled by the pilot's thumb or by manual action on the wheel when the trim tab is not electrically powered. Using the trim tab varies a moving part located aft of the elevator on all aircraft. This video was shot in January (before the virus became a problem).
