The Carp of Summer's End - Wild carp on a small english river.
Writer and angler Dexter Petley looks back at a small river that he once fished as a teenager during those summer holidays when time almost stood still. Unbeknownst to him, the unseen shapes of river carp dwelt there. Sixty years on, those carp have been rediscovered by local angler Dan Rudgley in the same small streams and brooks across the Kent and Sussex borders, fishing with a traditional split cane rod and centrepin reel. Two anglers separated by generations, united by birthright.
