African Bank can be revived and stand among authentic African institutions

The founding chairperson of the African Bank - 87 year old Mr Sam Motsuenyane tells a tear jerking story of how he went around for 10 years with his Nafcoc colleagues to raise the initial R 1m to register the African Bank in 1975. It is a horrendous story of going door to door to any black people with any savings and economic muscle to poor into the bank and how when it was finally registered how it was "a testament of hope".
