More exclusive content at www.telefe.com "Botineras" is a crime soap opera inspired by a global phenomenon: the lives of soccer players' wives. It centers on those women who seek to change their lives by becoming rich and famous thanks to the players and their fortunes, a topic that is currently very much in the spotlight. Cristian "Chiqui" Flores (Nicolás Cabré) is a world soccer star living in Spain who returns to Argentina to marry his girlfriend, Margarita "Marga" Molinari (Isabel Macedo), who embodies all the traits of the aforementioned women. But "Chiqui" also lands with a suspicion hanging over his shoulders: the mysterious murder of his greatest soccer rival in that country. Due to this suspicion, the Argentine and Spanish police launch an investigation to try to unravel the crime. The person in charge of that task in Argentina is Laura Posse (Romina Gaetani). This female police officer will infiltrate the world of soccer to get closer to "Chiqui" and investigate the reality surrounding Eduardo "Tato" Marín (Damián De Santo), Flores's agent, and Nino Paredes (Gonzalo Valenzuela), their lawyer. Giselle López (Florencia Peña), the "queen of the botineras," will prepare her for the mission. Giselle owns a modeling agency dedicated to finding girls in the soccer world.
