¿COMO ERA VIVIR en ALEMANIA ORIENTAL?
It was the morning of August 13, 1961, when the inhabitants of Berlin rose from their beds and were surprised that their city had been divided, by a wall, a provisional fence of 155 kilometers had already been placed, interrupting Overnight traffic of vehicles and people, many of whom worked in the other part of the city and in many cases leaving family and friends separated. The German Federal Republic (RFA) was founded in the western sector of France, England and the USA and in the communist occupation zone the German Democratic Republic (GDR) would be created, the city of Berlin would be divided creating 81 points meeting at the border between both territories. On the one hand, the Federal Republic opted for democracy, while the "Democratic Republic" - thus called itself - lived in a single-party communist regime, without dissent and with a police state. In economic terms, West Germany developed a social market economy, while economic socialism was the model of East Germany.
