Scaling the heights of mighty mount Muhabura

Mount Muhabura is a 4,127 metre high mountain that straddles the border between Uganda and Rwanda. On the Ugandan side the mountain forms part of the Mgahinga national park, which is increasingly becoming one of the more popular tourist destinations in Uganda due to the presence of mountain gorillas. A popular activity for people visiting the park is hiking up the mountain to the peak from where the successful ones are treated to magnificent views of the Kisoro countryside, Rwanda and even as far as DRC.
