Pine Tar Soap (Cold Process Soap) || Soap Making Tutorial EP.27

Hi all, Welcome to Jshimz channel. In this soap making tutorial i am making pine tar soap. This pine tar soap recipe using 10% pine tar oil and without any addition of essential oil. If you dislike the smell of pine tar oil, you may added essential oil of your choice around 31g or lower the percentage of pine tar oil to 5% and recalculate the water & lye needed using soap calculator. Be caution that, pine tar soap colour will vary according to the type/brand of pine tar oil that was used and it may produce black lather as you can notice in lathering soap video. Making pine tar soap can be challenging, do not over blend the oils and stop at very light trace. As you can see from the soap making tutorial, the soap accelerate faster once added with pine tar oil. Pine tar soap known for its benefits in treating skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis due to its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties. Some may dislike the soap due to its smell but some opted for this soap for its beneficial properties. Safety precautions: Don't forget to use all safety equipment as the lye/sodium hydroxide is caustic and it can burn your skin. Safety equipment needed: Eye google, hand gloves, face mask, and long sleeve cloth when handling the lye/sodium hydroxide to avoid skin burn and fumes. Early preparation: 1) Froze goat milk Ingredients: 121g Goat Milk 120g Distilled Water (You may use 100% goat milk or distilled water as per your preferences) 134g Sodium Hydroxide/Lye 330g Extra Virgin Olive Oil (33%) 320g Coconut Oil (32%) 100g Cocoa Butter (10%) 100g Pine Tar Oil (10%) 50g Castor Oil (5%) 50g Shea Butter (5%) 50g Palm Oil (5%) 1 tbsp Sodium lactate 31g Essential Oil of your choice or leave it to be unscented Cure soap for 4 weeks and the soap are ready to use.
