Sabre and Dhal shield (buckler) Nick vs Artur

Trying out some Indian type bucklers known as Dhal's. These vary most from our European bucklers in their grip. Instead of a fixed single solid bar type handle, they have two flexible straps that are spaced apart and squeezed together in the hand for a solid grip. Why use these with our sabres? 1 - because we can. 2 - because it's fun. 3 - because it is well documented that many British officers bought and practiced with them whilst in India, using their own sabres and local ones. These are 12" diameter (Artur) and 14" diameter (Nick), both about in the middle of the historical range for Dhal shields. Nick is the one with the Union Jack/Flag on his shoulder, and Artur the one in the skirt.
