PLEASE. Help Me Understand What "Acting White" Means
As a person in general, growing up can be hard. But what makes it harder is when people make you question who you are because you don't fit inside a box of what they think you should act like. Being a black man growing up around a lot of white people you would think that I heard it mostly from them. But sadly no, even other black people have said that I act white or talk white and I think it's ridiculous. So I decided to talk about it here in hopes that someone has shared this experience.
