The talk was part of the “Interdisciplinary Approaches to Dementia and Aging – The Lecture Series of the Phenomenology of Dementia and Aging Network“, held on the 11.07.2022. Series organized by Erik Norman Dzwiza-Ohlsen & Ragna Winniewski, a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne/Husserl Archives Cologne. Thomas Fuchs is Karl Jaspers Professor of Philosophy and Psychiatry at Heidelberg University, and the Head of the section Phenomenological Psychopathology and Psychotherapy. He is one of the world’s most important representatives of a phenomenologically and anthropologically based psychopathology. In particular, Prof. Fuchs has elaborated the fundamental importance of corporeality for personal identity in dementia, defending the human being as a whole.
