Documental Pastores y Montañas de Biodiversidad

The documentary "Shepherds and Mountains of Biodiversity" is part of the "Iberian Corridors for Bearded Vultures – Life pro BV" project, under the EU's LIFE Programme. To support the survival of the bearded vulture in the Sierra de Gredos mountains, the Bearded Vulture Conservation Foundation (FCQ) is promoting a unique project that unites tradition and conservation: the creation of a gourmet cheese made with raw milk from grazing goats, sourced from the last remaining goatherds in the area. This partnership between local livestock farmers, the Caprino de Candeleda cheese factory, and the FCQ demonstrates that artisanal production and a commitment to biodiversity can go hand in hand. This initiative highlights the work of mountain shepherds and transforms each cheese into a symbol of sustainability and life for the bearded vulture.
