Effects Notes: The verses use the CS-3 and delay/reverb effects. The rest of the song is distorted and uses the AmpliTube tube compressor. Again, I no longer own a Boss CS-3, but I was still using one at the time the audio was recorded. This is another re-upload using the same guitar track as my previous video, I just fixed a couple audio glitches like I did with my Pushing Me Away Guitar 2 video (there are a couple other songs I'll be doing this with as well). This one's actually kind of fun to play. Most people don't realize the third chord in the chorus progression is inverted and play it at the 8th fret, which is wrong. I've also never seen anybody who actually noticed the triplet strumming on the open chords at the end of the bridge (Brad doesn't even play these live, so I can understand it, but they're clearly present on the album - check out the Rock Band multitracks). You might notice I play the clean part in the verses with a weird left hand shape - I use my middle and pinky fingers. The index/ring finger shape makes way more sense (and is way more comfortable), but playing it this way allows me to hit the last note at the 8th fret on the B string and still make the jump down to the first 5th fret chord for the chorus. When I play it the "normal way," I have to leave out that last note of the clean part to make that transition cleanly.
