How to diagnose a Nissan without a scanner. The video shows instructions for CR12DE and CR14DE engines (Nissan Micra, Nissan Note, Nissan March), Nissan AD, and Nissan Cube. Diagnosing errors: (worked for me on the third try) 1. Make sure the accelerator pedal is fully released, turn the ignition key to the ON position, and wait 3 seconds. 2. Quickly repeat the following procedure 5 times within 5 seconds: — Fully depress the accelerator pedal. — Fully release the accelerator pedal. 3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal, and hold it for about 10-15 seconds until the check engine light starts flashing. 4. Fully release the accelerator pedal. After 10 long flashes, the check engine light will flash quickly—the number of flashes is the number displayed. 10 blinks means 0. Resetting errors To reset the error, after the check light has completely cleared, press the accelerator and wait 10 seconds, then turn off the ignition.
