Jedyna. Biografia Karoliny Lanckorońskiej - spotkanie z Marcinem Wilkiem

The Krakow Voivodeship Public Library invites you to a meeting with Marcin Wilk, author of the book "The One. The Biography of Karolina Lanckorońska," which will take place on April 24th at 6:00 PM at Arteteka at 12 Rajska Street (entrance from Szujskiego Street), as part of the "Book and Rose" Małopolska Book Days. Marcin Wilk is a journalist, publicist, critic, translator, and editor, and a graduate of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University. He has published in publications such as "Polityka," "Tygodnik Powszechny," and "Przekrój," collaborates with Radio Krakow, and has served on the Krakow Book of the Month jury since 2010. The book's protagonist is Karolina Lanckorońska – an art collector, traveler, aristocrat, and a woman of extraordinary strength, courage, and independence. After six years of work and archival research, Marcin Wilk paints a moving portrait of a global citizen, an uncompromising patriot, and a figure steeped in mystery, restoring her rightful place in history. The meeting will be led by Alicja Zioło – author of "Krakowianki. Twarze polskiej herstory" (Krakowianki: Faces of Polish Herstory), a licensed Krakow guide, initiator of the "Come on a Trip!" project, and winner of the Kazimiera Bujwidowa Award and the Krakow UNESCO City of Literature Award.
