My true gender identity: Niklaus Fluetsch at TEDxZUG

Niklaus Fluetsch was born female but always knew he was male. Having built a successful medical career as a woman, he took a leap of faith in 2007 after years of struggle, and now lives openly as a man. In a heartfelt and inspiring talk at TEDxZug, he urges more transsexual and transgender people to come out, and for all people to have the courage to be true to themselves. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
