Rare footage of Ted Bundy victims and the final hours before execution

In a dark room filled with tapes dating back to the 1950s, there is one titled; "Ted Bundy" The tape has decades of historical KUTV footage, detailing the timeline of a case that shook the nation and left a lasting scar on the state of Utah. From the early 1970s, as the first reports of missing women began to surface, through the eventual capture, escapes, and the finality of the death penalty, we revisit the evidence and the stories of the victims who were at the heart of this tragedy. One of said victims -- Laura Ann Aime was 17 when she first went missing on Halloween night in 1974. Her body was found by hikers less than a month later, undressed and in an embankment near American Fork Canyon Road. Her case was listed by the Utah Department of Public Safety as an unsolved homicide. While at the time it could not be definitively proven, Bundy confessed to her death on the evening before his execution. More than 50 years after Aime's murder, the Utah County Sheriff's Office said that this DNA could lead to the closure of another, related open case outside of Utah county.
