What can you expect from life as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan? Let's take a look at what a year looks like for an ALT. I'll take you from your initial meeting with the schools, to daily ALT life, working with Japanese teachers, after school activities and lesson expectations to saying goodbye to your school. I've had four years of experience as an ALT in Nagoya, Japan and I want to share everything I learned and wish I knew going into it! Working as an assistant language teacher can be a rewarding experience! It's a neat way to get a front-row seat and experience life in Japan as a teacher in a public or private school.
