Welcome to our life in the English countryside. We are a Japanese senior couple living in a 500-year-old house with a large open fireplace. Our videos capture the changing seasons, our cottage garden and kitchen garden, antiques, and peaceful everyday life with our beloved dog and two cats. 🐾 It was a summer day spent working in the garden. I trimmed our box shrubs into neat round shapes, while my husband pulled weeds that had popped up here and there around the garden. Two years ago, we started what we jokingly called our "10-Year Weed-Free Garden Project." By laying weed-control fabric throughout the garden, we've reached the point where we only need to tidy up the occasional spot. We used to spend days pulling weeds, only to find the garden covered again before long. Life in the garden has become so much easier. 😊 After finishing our gardening, we relaxed on the garden daybed. While enjoying a bottle of ramune we found in a UK supermarket (it wasn't made in Japan! 🤣), we shared some sweet watermelon and savoured a peaceful summer afternoon. 🍉 🌿 A Little Announcement As we mentioned in this video, from now on we'll be sharing a new vlog on the first Friday of every month at 8:00 pm (UK time).
