Paragliding - The Warren - Folkestone - 18/10/25

Footage from Paragliding at The Warren in Folkestone on 18/10/25. It was a gusty strong wind take off, and although I had initially cleared my lines, I had moved a couple of times on take-off and should have probably opened it fully on the ground before fully launching, or moved closer to the edge to provide cleaner air to open it up into, so a small learning point. Had a very fun 2 1/2 hours of flying around between Folkestone & Dover, got up to around 1,400ft a few times, and was tempted with the dover crossing but as it was initially high tide and limited emergency landing options I thought better of it, need to visit them on the ground first to be sure my skill level would enable me to safely land in those limited spaces. I was also tempted to cross Folkestone and land of Sandgate Beach, which was very possible and within my skills, however I did not fancy working out how to get back to the car, so once I decided to land, had a nice gentle top landing in the field. A fun day of flying and huge congrats to all those who made it to dover and back, and also across to Sandgate beach - I may follow you next time :)
