St. Patrick's Day is upon us! The perfect day to enjoy an Irish Red Ale. Windsor Yeast Overview - 4:12 Irish Red Ale Tasting - 5:14 --------------------- --------------------- Recipe Fermentables - 60 min mash 2.25kg / 5lb - Pale 1.47kg / 3.3lb - Munich 1.13kg / 2.5lb - Rye 454g / 1.0lb - Heidelberg (or Pilsner) 114g / 4oz - Roasted Barley Hops: 60 min - 30g East Kent Goldings 15 min - 30g Saaz (I was wrong in the video... also, Saaz is Czech...) Other: 15 min - 1 tab of Irish Moss / Whirlfloc Yeast: 1 pkg Lallemand (Lalbrew) Windsor Yeast Ferment started at 23 deg, then dropped to 18 deg, where no activity took place because the Windsor yeast went crazy in the first day.
