Rising right on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Khandagiri Hills—along with its twin hill, Udayagiri—forms one of India's most significant archaeological and religious complexes. Carved out of solid sandstone hills back in the 2nd century BCE during the reign of Emperor Kharavela, these hills serve as an ancient testament to Jain rock-cut architecture.
