12134 Mangalore Mumbai Express train journey - last diesel run - part 1

Indian Railways train journey compilation in non-AC second class sleeper coach, this time from the Konkan Railway line, onboard the 12134 Mangalore Mumbai Superfast Express. Fondly known as the "Rocket" by railfans, the 12133/34 Mangalore Mumbai Superfast Express ended its run with the diesel locomotives on February 16th, 2023. It now runs with electric locomotives. This video documents the last diesel run of this train through the Konkan Railway towards Mumbai. The WDP4D diesel engine put up a spectacular show to reach Mumbai 5 minutes ahead of schedule. I traveled in sleeper class; clean, well-maintained and comfortable coaches. The train was short terminated/originated from Surathkal instead of Mangaluru Junction due to track work near Mangalore. I am strictly not a rail vlogger. I just document content purely from a railfan's perspective. Tips for an enjoyable train journey in India: for train ticket booking, check IRCTC online charts if you are booking at the last minute, and choose the seats or berths in vacant coaches.
