Magical 1200-year old house built on a rock in Central Portugal | Casa do Penedo

This unique Casa do Penedo located in Central Portugal was orginaly built as a defense castle tower by the Moorish somehere betweern the 8th and 9th century. After that it took on many rolls, like a religieus place, one of the first government buildings in the region and tourist accomadation. Ofcourse it has now been classified as a monument. It has been completely renovated by the owner who is an architect, who was able to maintain the strong spirit and energy of the house. Rui Vasques, has been living in Casa do Penedo for the past 1,5 years with is girlfriend Laura (who now is a abroad for while) and their dog Madragoa.
