Governance in SMEs and Family Business by Tony Balshaw

Tony is a Provincial Leader of SNG Grant Thornton, and leads the firm’s specialist Family Business and B-BBEE divisions. He is also arguably the pre-eminent consultant in South Africa to family controlled companies, closely-held and entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses. Tony consults extensively with Family Businesses locally and internationally – also lecturing, presenting seminars and workshops, and authoring articles. Tony is an Honorary Member of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa. He has consulted widely on Corporate Governance in the context of Family Businesses and has conducted many governance seminars, workshops and presentations, including for the IoDSA. Tony also regularly consults on the topic of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) implementation, strategy and governance for multi-nationals, listed and privately-held businesses.
