CBMA co-founder and Executive Director Phil Vassell and CKUT FM host Pat Dillon-Moore, interviews Dr. Dorothy V. Williams and talks Montreal's music history. Also a part of the conversation are CKUT's Wayne Moore and DJ Storme. Professor Dorothy V. Williams provided provided context on the 350 year history of the Black diaspora in Montreal. She is the author of two books on the population's history in the city; the most recent is The Road to Now: A History of Blacks in Montreal. The Takeover was done in collaboration with Professor Mark Campbell of the University of Toronto's Afrosonic Innovation Lab, Montreal's CKUT FM and the Canada Black Music Archives (CBMA).
