B-17 Navigator Recalls Bombing Berlin on D-Day and 30 Bombing Missions over Europe | August Bolino

August Bolino was a member of a Boeing B-17 “Flying Fortress” combat crew at the 388th Bomber Group at Knettishall, East Anglia, England. He flew 30 combat missions, two of which were on D-Day (June 6, 1944). He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal for his service and bravery. August C.
