The spring rate was lowered when the car was lifted, so we increased the spring rate when adjusting the ride height, but straight-wound springs alone made the car feel unsteady and unstable, so we added helper springs. Since helper springs have a low spring rate, we were unsure whether they would have any effect on driving, but they now make the car much more comfortable to drive.
