Step-by-Step Salah Guide by Ustaadh Mohamad Baajour i) Salah is not just movements the brain involved - it's a meeting with Allah. Every posture carries humility. Every word carries meaning. Every sujood brings you closer to your Lord. The door to jannah! ii) Niyyah – Make the sincere intention in your heart. Takbeer – Raise your hands and say Allahu Akbar. iii) Subhanaka Allahumma wa bi-hamdika Al-Qiyam – Recite Surah Al-Fatihah and another Surah. iv) Rukū‘ – Bow & glorify Allah. .Subhana Rabbiyal Azeem v) Qawmah – Stand and praise Allah. vi) Sujood – Prostrate and glorify your Lord.Subhana Rabbiyal A'la vii) Jalsa – Sit and ask for forgiveness. viii) The Last Sujood: The Prophet (ﷺ) stated that a servant is closest to their Lord when in prostration. Therefore, the last Sujood of your prayer is one of the best times to make Du'a ix) At-Tashahhud – Send peace and blessings upon the Prophet (ﷺ). The climax & conclusion of the Prayer Attahiyat (Conversation with Allah) The Tashahhud (Attahiyat) is a sacred recitation that embodies the greeting exchanged between Allah SWT & the Prophet (ﷺ) x) Tasleem – End with peace to the right and left. Salah is your daily reset. Your protection. Your light in the darkness. Guard your prayers — and your prayers will guard you. May Allah make us among those who establish Salah with sincerity and khushu’.
