Chaco's Walk No. 223 Even though we knew it was a little early for cherry blossoms, we decided to visit Gongendo Park. To our surprise, we came across Yakushima goats out for a stroll and a Shiba Inu named Chaco with her family, all delighted by the fully bloomed Kawazu cherry blossoms. ◎Satte Gongendo Park (Gongendo Cherry Blossom Embankment Park No. 4) 887-3 Kofu-ma, Satte City, Saitama Prefecture 340-0103 https://gongendo.jp/ ○Saitama Prefectural Gongendo Park is being developed by Saitama Prefecture with the aim of becoming "a park that serves as a recreational base and a place to interact with water," utilizing the waterfront space of the Satte Gongendo Cherry Blossom Embankment, which is popular as a cherry blossom viewing spot, and the adjacent Gongendo Reservoir. This park consists of four parks, each with its own unique characteristics: Park 1, a multi-purpose sports field; Park 3, rich in history, culture, and greenery; Park 4, the Gongendo Cherry Blossom Embankment in Satte; and Park 2, designed for recreation. The total area is approximately 35 hectares.
