Both have a gasoline engine and two electric motors, one per axle. They are therefore all-wheel drive, and thanks to their ground clearance, they allow for easy off-road adventures. Since this unit is a 4x4, this means that instead of one, it has two electric motors, one on each axle, and the entire system delivers 222 hp. The 2022 Kia Sportage has a hybrid system consisting of a 1.6-liter turbocharged combustion engine plus a single electric motor located at the front and assisted by a 1.49 kWh battery. The stakes are high. Which of the two will win?
