Headed back out to Algonquin Park for some hot tent solo camping and got absolutely soaked. This trip truly tested my resolve with some heavy rain and extreme weather, but good camping gear and a reliable wood stove made all the difference. It's a great reminder that proper planning for rain camping can still lead to memorable experiences. Heavy rain all day, but honestly? That's when the forest feels the most alive. Tested out a bunch of new gear on this trip — the Naturehike Massif hot tent, a VEVOR wood stove, new sleeping pad, the works. Wanted to see how everything held up in some of the worst conditions possible. Spoiler: some of it surprised me.
