Mickey Mouse Club Alum Nikki DeLoach Talks Hallmark Movies And Working With Christina Aguilera

It's holiday movie season that means all of our favorite channels and streaming platforms are bringing the holiday cheer with new content. Joining us today is someone who not only stars in a holiday movie this year called ‘Five More Minutes,’ she also co-wrote a movie called ‘Christmas For Keeps.' Welcome Nikki DeLoach Holiday movies, especially on Hallmark and Lifetime, have blown up in the last few years. Why do you think that is? Nikki thinks the Hallmark channel and Lifetime have blown up in popularity because people want to see happy things. Life is hard and life is really tough and viewers just want to relax. She thinks that especially over the last couple of years, the world’s been through a lot, and when people get home, they want to turn something on that where they know there's going to be a happy ending. They just want that warm and fuzzy feeling, and they just want to feel happy at the end of it. What do you love about making these movies? Nikki loves working with the Hallmark channel to make these movies because the channel hosts a tight-knit community of people who love working together. She gets to work with people he loves and feels comfortable with. You were a member of the popular nineties classic show, ‘The Mickey Mouse Club’ with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and so many more. What was that like? Nikki auditioned when she was 12 years old and it was the opportunity of a lifetime. As a kid, she always wanted to sing and dance and now she found a community of people who loved doing exactly that. But she still can’t believe she was able to be a part of a cast of such immensely talented people. She remembers how Christina Aguilera could sing just as well as she does now as a 12-year-old. She knew Christina Aguilera was destined for great things from the first time she heard her. She credits all the talent for the casting director of Mickey Nouse Club, Matt Casella. She says he has an eye not only for great talent but for kids who would be willing to work hard. Where can we watch all your movies? You can see her Hallmark movies on the Hallmark Channel. There's also Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, which is where both of her movies are going to be this season. ‘Five More Minutes’ is on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries.
