Note: This webinar originally aired in July, 2024. The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is a landmark set of rules that will significantly change the way software is regulated in the European Union. Manufacturers of most digital products are now on the clock to build robust vulnerability reporting and management capabilities. Organizations that pass compliance will be able to add the CE mark (now expanded to include cybersecurity aspects) to their products, while those that don’t risk facing significant penalties. SBOMs (software bill of materials) are at the heart of several CRA provisions. Not only do they facilitate vulnerability reporting and management activities, but manufacturers will be required to provide SBOMs to market surveillance authorities upon request.
