The video presents the AK37 4000 mobile crane from Böcker. It is an exceptionally lightweight, hybrid-construction crane in its class. This crane can be mounted on a standard 7.5-ton chassis. With outstanding performance, the crane can lift 250 kg loads at a reach of 28 meters. The highlight of the video is the new personnel basket, which can be tested live in a virtual reality app. Böcker has been involved in access technology since its founding in 1958. In product development, Böcker uses direct modeling with PTC's Creo Elements/Direct. The PTC Model Manager is used as the PDM system. Calculations and analyses are performed with Ansys software. Additional solutions from INNEO provide greater flexibility in the development of new products. The 3D data from product development holds enormous potential. For example, compelling product visualizations can be created using the 3D rendering software KeyShot. The 3D data also provides the foundation for the virtual reality application shown in the video. INNEO developed a virtual reality app in a very short time, allowing users to experience the new personnel basket live even during the development phase. All the functions of the new personnel basket can be tested and observed in the virtual reality application. The goal of the VR app is to travel across a building in the personnel basket and then perform work on a gutter at the rear of the building from the basket.
