A via ferrata in the Eifel? That sounded rather boring to us; it couldn't be anything special?! But since we'd heard about it so often, we just wanted to check it out. Luckily, we were so curious, because what awaited us far exceeded our expectations! The Burgenklettersteig near Manderscheid is a true gem among via ferratas; we were totally blown away! Absolutely worth seeing! ⚠️ WARNING! ⚠️ The via ferrata goes up to difficulty level D and is therefore not for beginners! Katharina and I are experienced climbers and strong via ferrata hikers, so we don't always use the via ferrata. We strongly advise against imitating it; please follow the instructions. Have fun 🙃 !
