25+ emergency vehicles in the Chalfont, Pennsylvania 4th of July parade!

Took a vacation to visit family in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, a rural county about an hour northeast of Philadelphia and saw many more emergency vehicles than I expected! We attended the annual Tri-Municipal 4th of July parade, a parade representing New Britain Township, New Britain Borough, and Chalfont Borough. We skipped the big Philadelphia one to avoid traffic, but that parade was cancelled because of the heat. It was over 90 degrees in Chalfont, but the parade was earlier in the day so there were no serious heat-related incidents. Unlike Washington's major city departments and sprawling regional districts, rural Pennsylvania organizes their fire service by boroughs and townships. Bucks County has over 50 municipalities, so there are 50-60 individual fire departments, each with one or two stations each. Nearly all are volunteer-only. Though resources for rural departments are sometimes limited, they love participating in community events and showing off their equipment. The recording is at a fixed angle because I was primarily taking pictures with my DSLR camera. Check out all my photos which have now been uploaded to my website! After this event, we went to Quakertown, one of the bigger boroughs in Bucks County, for a fireworks show. There were a surprising amount of emergency vehicles on standby, which came in handy when calls, including a structure fire downtown, started coming in when a windy thunderstorm came barrelling through the area. https://sites.google.com/view/evansph...
