MASTER the Euro Nymphing CAST

The proper cast is one of the most important things you can learn to be more successful in Euro Nymphing. Yet, it is not stressed enough and often simplified with "it's just a lob or a flick upstream". This advice really handicaps fly fisherman, as the lob really hinders people with the ability to get their flies into the strike zone as quickly as possible. The proper cast allows you to get your flies into the strike zone immediately, not matter how heavy the current and it helps to fish at distance as well, which is often needed to reach over currents, fish shallow riffles or for low, clear, spooky water trout. The Euro cast is just an abbreviated normal fly cast, with the wrist doing most of the work. With some practice, I'm sure this video can help you become a more successful euro nympher.
