WELDING PRACTICE AT THE HALL // UPHILL & DOWNHILL WELDING // PIPELINERS UNION LOCAL 798 In this video, I’m headed to the pipeliners union local 798 to get in some welding practice. I’ll be practicing downhill welding and uphill welding to prepare for future weld test. New to me I’ll practice the sleave welding test. It’s not all the time that you have to practice for a new pipe welding test but I like to if I can. I’ve heard a lot about the sleave welding procedure over the years but never tested on it myself because I’ve done more traditional pipeline welding test. If you are new, I am Austin Ross a pipeline welder and this channel is all about me sharing my tips and tricks from experience I’ve had while traveling pipeline welding and living the pipeline lifestyle. I’m somewhat new to the local 798 membership as I started as a non union welders years ago. I’ve enjoyed being union 798 and am trying to better utilize the pipeliners union benefits.
