'ACTIVE' (2016) - When a Mother Looses Her Son (EPISODE 3)

In 2011 Urban Youth Specialist, Criminologist and Lecturer Craig Pinkney developed a National Anti-Knife Crime Campaign titled 'Don't Get Gassed' and documented the experiences of young people affected by the issue. Four years later (2016) he is back to investigate whether the issue of youth violence is getting better or worse. This weeks episode captures the heart felt story of a mother (Alison Cope) who lost her son (Depzman) to knife crime in 2013. This video is designed to get young people to recognise the pain, trauma and hardship parents/relatives go through when young people engage in such behaviour. MUST WATCH!!! Next weeks episode will feature James Gregory (Fathers Against Violence) who will be expressing the impact his sons murdered has had on his family.
