BAHAMUT'S TRIAL - NORMALS ONLY COMPLETE (BCU) | DAY 5
What a phenomenal conclusion to Bahamut's Trial. This strategy is pure endurance for 24/25 consecutive Shibalien Elite waves, lasting for about 18 minutes. I failed at 16% and twice at 38%, so not bad going. This should be possible in game! Ultimately the goal is to achieve 7-slots (replace combo with Island) but that is for another time. ---------- MUSIC: AKA - re:LOAD (full album) • re:LOAD (FULL ALBUM) ---------- Strategy: The general strategy is as follows: every two Shibalien cycles, you'll want to cycle a total of exactly 6 Legs 3 Superfelines and 2 Dragons to deal 165,095 damage. (Boss KB after 166,666 dmg) 2 Superfelines' damage are incorporated into the Shibalien sequence, and 1 Dragon damage can be extracted by keeping it alive after the Bahamut stagger, so its realistically 6 Leg 1 Superfeline 1 Dragon where Dragon staggers Bahamut. Bahamut's fast stagger from Dragon will also keep the Shibaliens in optimal time with Bahamut's attacks if you time it like I do. I personally like to alternate between Superfeline and Dragon stagger after dealing with a Shibalien wave, which is why I fire the Catcannon (easier to distinguish which to deploy next) If you copy my sequence for the first KB, you'll only have to adjust for the damage offset one SINGULAR time with Lion to knock back Bahamut, like I did at 9:40 == For the Shibalien, use null-3 while Bahamut is NOT 1 walking-frame away from attacking your base. This space is necessary to better keep Legs alive, and your run alive too. 0:51 is an example of perfect, full defence. KB 1: Deploy Mohawk, Eraser and UFO. Legs is most important because he can easily die by walking up into the first blast, so consider timing him very slightly later if necessary. For the above reason, delay Superfeline's spawn to as late as possible, keeping Legs as far away as possible from Bahamut. This should make Legs and Superfeline stagger to counterattack in KB 2. KB 2: Deploy Mohawk, Eraser. Make sure Dragon actually hits Shibalien, don't deploy it TOO early. Combined with Superfeline and Legs and it's easily enough damage to set up KB 3, where Dragon survives. (Legs and Superfeline die) (Also note Superfeline omni-strikes Bahamut here) KB 3: Deploy Mohawk, Eraser. Try to deploy Legs off cooldown, but if you realise that he won't deploy and attack in time due to an earlier delay, simply wait for Bahamut's next explosion caused by Eraser to wear off first. Dragon and Legs finish off Shibalien. == The only adjusting that is in your control is if you miss damage from Legs or Dragon during the downtime. Just remember that Dragon does 2x Leg damage. If you're missing a Leg damage, then don't deploy the next Leg and instead Dragon, for example. This only works if Dragon comes back from cooldown quickly enough though. You could also wait an additional Shibalien cycle to make up the damage during the extra downtime, but I don't recommend it (only if ABSOLUTELY necessary) because: 1. Fighting an extra Shibalien wave 2. Superfeline naturally ticks to 3 with the 3 waves of Shibalien (so this delay won't work if you already cycled an additional Superfeline) Essentially, it's really easy to go off cycle and throw off your rhythm if you miss damage, but by all means go ahead if you're confident because this is necessary for 7-slots anyway (money issues) == Lion is extremely useful as an emergency meatshield if you mistime Mohawk. I should have done that to save my 16% run, but did not. Obviously don't rely on him every defence due to its cost == Lastly you should be aware that Bahamut behaves differently depending on the knockback count. Essentially his positional state could be +/- 15 units because of the stagger. The 'close' scenario is where Bahamut hit's Eraser, who is targetting Shibalien, and doesn't hit your base. It can help with a mistake, and Eraser will tank the hit instead of the Base. But it actually screws up the general defence pattern: the first Legs just immediately gets blasted by first blast and he dies and you can't do anything about that. The 'far' scenario, where Bahamut tends to speed clip your base past your units, is actually consistently safer because if Bahamut is 1 walking frame away from your base, you can keep the first Legs alive if it DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL, which keeps your defence alive. Anyway that's just subjective though.
