LIRR M9 Port Jefferson Branch Super Express Train Ride: Grand Central to Huntington (SKIPS Jamaica)

Taken on 10/9/25. Video of a 10-car M9 set operating on Port Jefferson Branch Train 1662 from Grand Central to Huntington. What is interesting about this train is that this is the sole regularly scheduled train to bypass Jamaica post-ESA. The only other train which operates this pattern is the Cannonball (and its non-summer counterpart) to Montauk which operates non-stop between Penn Station and Westhampton Beach. However this service only operates on Fridays. Prior to LIRR service to Grand Central, multiple other branches including the Ronkonkoma, Hempstead, Babylon, and Long Beach Branches also offered this type of express/flyer service in either one or both directions. However all trains were either eliminated or had a Jamaica stop after Grand Central Service initiated. After the opening there were some new flyer trains which were subsequently made. There were a number of trains in the AM & PM on the Ronkonkoma and Babylon branches which previously skipped Jamaica and operate non-stop between Long Island and the NYC terminals (the Babylon Branch train in question went express btwn. St. Albans & Grand Central -- while Queens is geographically part of LI, it is not colloquially accepted or associated as part of Long Island).
