Having learned that holding up a gemstone called the Hot Stone at the top of the world's tallest tower will awaken the hero sealed within, Michelle and her companions set out to climb the tower. Using the gemstone on the top floor revives Melvin, who then joins Michelle and her friends on their adventure. I'm Michelle, and I run a game commentary channel. The game I'll be playing this time is "Dragon Quest VII Reimagined," the long-awaited remake of Dragon Quest VII, released on February 5th, 2026 for Nintendo Switch! This game is a remake of "Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden," released in 2000, rendered in a warm, doll-like 3DCG art style called "Doll Look." The grand adventure, which begins with the small curiosity of boys and girls living on a remote island, has been completely reimagined—not just the graphics, but also the scenario, battles, side quests, and system—making it a very rewarding remake! A key new element in battles is the job system. Each job has its own unique "job traits," and these traits can be activated during battle by entering a "Burst Charge" state. Furthermore, as you progress through the adventure, you'll unlock the ability to "hold multiple jobs," allowing you to simultaneously hold two jobs. This doubles your spells, special abilities, and job traits, significantly boosting your party's combat power! I've played the PS2 remake of Dragon Quest 5 and Dragon Quest 8, but despite being from the generation that grew up with the series, I've never played the original Dragon Quest 7. So this will be my first time experiencing the story, and I'm really looking forward to playing through it! This is my first playthrough, so there might be some awkward moments, but I hope you'll bear with me m(__)m My goal is to complete the story.
