UNTHA processes commercial and industrial waste into substitute fuels

The economical and environmentally friendly use of waste materials is becoming an increasingly important issue. The Portuguese company Euro Separadora has set itself the goal of producing substitute fuels (RDF) from commercial and industrial waste. RDF production takes place with the help of an UNTHA XR3000C. The C-cutting system has three knife rows, which ensure efficient shredding of a wide variety of materials, including commercial and industrial waste, plastics, waste wood, and WEEE. Around 10 tons of waste per hour are processed into a homogeneous raw material. This single-shaft shredder also has an overband magnet that sorts out any metals contained in the waste. These can be sold to recyclers and thus returned to the material cycle. The remaining material is sold on to the cement industry as RDF.
