Volvo V50, S40 II, C30, C70 II fixing buzzing noise under the dashboard

After you turn the ignition off, for couple minutes you can hear an annoying #buzzing sound from under the dashboard in #Volvo V50, S40 II, C30, C70 II (cars made on P1 platform). There's an interior temperature sensor hidden over there, equipped with a smal fan that pull in air for the said sensor. Over time this fan gets clogged. This dirt and dust will cause it to make noise under the #dashboard. Fortunately it's easy to take it out to clean it. Follow this DIY tutorial. 👉 Open the glovebox and pry plastic cover from behind the waterfall console, starting with the bottom corner. There are four clips holding it. Remove two screws above pedals to release bottom cover of the dashboard. Dashboard is held by several clips. On the sides of the sensor are two buttons that you need to press in to release it from the plastic cover. There's also a green connector that needs to be unpluged. Clean the fan with compressed air. ⚠️ Temperature sensor (termistor) is a fragile electronic part. Be careful not to damage it! ℹ️ You can access the interior temperature sensor without removing dashboard bottom cover, but it will be nearly impossible to put it back in its place afterwards.
