Can We Find the Perfect FUZZ PEDAL? (EP. 1)

It's the eternal quest of every guitarist to create their dream tone. In 2024, I went back on tour for the first time in 4 years, and I needed to build a new Fractal stage rig. I filmed myself going through a Big Box Of Fuzz pedals for a new series that walks you through my testing process and judging criteria. 1 Does the pedal create a unique sound or character? 2 Does it clean up well? 3 Does it stack with other pedals? 4 Could I recreate it in the Fractal if I had to save space in the rig? My rig operates in what I call Autonomous Left and Right. I can feed pedals to either the left or the right side of the stereo spectrum individually, which creates unique layers and textures. Or I can feed both sides simultaneously for a uniform sound on both sides. The whole rig is designed to recreate many of my dad's intricate layered sounds from the 60's through the 80's as well as my own unique sonic creations. This requires copious amounts of testing for compatibility and functionality. Leading up to the 2024 Roxpostophy Tour, I decided to let my studio cameras roll the whole time so you can be a fly-on-the-wall as I narrow down my choices from a Big Box Of Fuzz pedals.
