HOMICIDIO NATALIA VILLALBA. MÉDICO Británico capturado en ECUADOR fue DEPORTADO a Colombia #FocusNo
Colombian and Ecuadorian authorities have captured British citizen Foster Martinson, also known as Matthew Ashley Foster-Smith, the alleged perpetrator of the femicide of 36-year-old Colombian woman Natalia Villalba Angarita. The arrest took place at Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito, Ecuador, as he was reportedly attempting to continue his escape to London. ADVERTISE ON FOCUS NEWS. INFORMATION VIA WHATSAPP +57 316 6031950 The capture was made possible by an Interpol Red Notice, after the Colombian Attorney General's Office gathered sufficient evidence linking him to the crime, which occurred in an apartment in the upscale Morph building, located in the El Chicó neighborhood in northern Bogotá. In the coming hours, the British citizen will be transferred to Colombia under heavy security to be placed at the disposal of judicial authorities, who will prosecute him for aggravated femicide and for the crime of concealing, altering, or destroying material evidence. The crime that shocked Bogotá According to the Prosecutor's Office investigation, the events occurred on June 18, 2026, when Natalia Villalba was in apartment 702 of the Morph building, a property she had rented temporarily through Airbnb while looking for permanent housing in Bogotá. Investigators maintain that inside the apartment, the woman was violently attacked by the British citizen, who allegedly beat her to death. Subsequently, according to the Prosecutor's Office hypothesis, the suspect attempted to destroy evidence of the crime. Security cameras in the building recorded the foreigner leaving the apartment with several sheets toward the laundry area, movements that are now part of the evidence being analyzed by the CTI (Technical Investigation Corps). Natalia's body was found on June 22 inside a suitcase in the bathroom of her apartment, after a cleaning worker entered the building to perform cleaning duties and alerted the authorities. The suitcase was under the shower with the water running, according to investigators, to erase fingerprints and other evidence. Investigators believe the body was manipulated to conceal the crime and hinder the forensic investigation. How he fled Colombia Authorities were able to reconstruct much of the suspect's route after the murder. The investigation established that on June 20, just two days after the crime and three days after arriving at the apartment where it occurred, he left Colombia by land. According to information gathered by investigators, he crossed the border into Ecuador via the Rumichaca International Bridge in the department of Nariño. From there, he continued his journey to Quito, where he stayed for several days before attempting to board a flight to the United Kingdom. Authorities were tracking his movements. Once he was at Mariscal Sucre International Airport, Ecuadorian agents executed the international arrest warrant issued via Interpol Red Notice. Colombian authorities have already begun the procedures for his transfer to Bogotá this evening. He allegedly attempted to conceal his true identity. One of the most striking aspects of the investigation is that the British citizen allegedly attempted to hide his criminal record by changing his identity. According to documents found during his arrest in Ecuador, he was now using the name Martinson Foster, different from Matthew Ashley Foster-Smith, the name under which he had a criminal record in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, authorities are investigating documents that appear to list a place of birth different from his actual one.
