Worked to death? China’s work culture raises concerns

Founder and CEO of app health app Chunyu Yisheng, Zhang Rui, died from a heart attack at aged 44. And just months before his death, he revealed how he was stressed and anxious about work. These feelings are not uncommon. China's workforce is facing a tremendous burden from not only the type of work they do but also thier long working hours. And this recent death has thrust the issue back into the spotlight yet again. Are employers to blame? Or is this an inevitable consequence of China transforming economically? To take a look at why this is happening in China, CCTVNews spoke with Dong Jun, a current affairs commentator, and Dr. Eric Ding, an epidemiologist and health economist at Harvard Chan School of Public Health.
