1953 Studebaker Commander Starliner, America's sleekest 1950's automobile! Some repair required...

I purchased a 1953 Studebaker Commander Regal Starliner project this week. Hasn't ran in possibly 40+ years and the 232 cubic-inch V8 engine is currently stuck...as is the brake pedal. My first task will be to get the engine unstuck as I hope to get it running in the near future. From reading the various documents that came with the car and seeing the oil change stickers applied over the black repaint (car was originally red with a white roof), I believe the car was painted black in the early 1970's. This change likely occurred either in California (documented to have been there throughout the 1960's) or when it came to Minnesota. For 1953 Studebaker cars, the 'Commander' name was assigned to V8-powered models, 'Regal' was the top-of-the-line trim package and 'Starliner' refers to it being a two-door with pillarless-roof (hardtop). The Studebaker ohv V8 is rated 120 hp, the Detroit Gear automatic transmission has 3-speeds and the retail price in 1953 for this car was $2374.16 (according to the June 1953 issue of Motor Trend magazine). The red & white cover car on said issue of Motor Trend looks identical to how my car would have been when new. Perhaps it's the very same car? The car was designed by Robert Bourke (an employee of Raymond Loewy's design studio) whom also designed the Studebaker pickups shown at the very beginning of this video.
