Feed the Dragon's new YouTube mix series For this episode we have Shins playing a 100% all vinyl set, focusing on a wide selection of Jungle from the 90s. He was passing through Hong Kong after playing in Beijing and managed to nab him to record this mix for us. This mix features classics, some deep cuts and a Japanese 90s jungle track that he found from some deep digging. Shins is a DJ known for his love of UK genres, especially jungle and UKG. As head of Planet Turbo, the party series and label he runs with Mordecai, J’Laurel, Juuno and MC OFB, Shins can be found most often playing at Cakeshop, Seoul’s long-standing underground venue. Planet Turbo’s guests at events there over the last three years have included DJ Storm, Jossy Mitsu, Coco Bryce, SPRAYBOX Japan, Submerse, Breaka, Sharda and many more. Shins also runs an eclectic monthly vinyl night at the Edge with local guests including Spray, Sawteeth and Andow, as well as internationals such as Element from Japan, and DJ Fu from Feed The Dragon in Hong Kong. With a passion for deep, wobbly basslines and frenetic breaks, Shins is a DJ with an uncompromising style, playing vinyl sets that blend the old with the new. Either solo, or as a duo with his partner Mordecai, Shins’ sets are in demand, with recent guest appearances at events by Scream Records, MixMix, Ghetto Ray, SPRAYBOX in Tokyo and more.
